What is your new patient procedure?
We encourage new patients to take advantage of one of our completely free, no commitment required consultations. We want to build a relationship with each patient, and believe open communication and transparency are an essential part of a smooth, mutually understood process to give each person the smile of their dreams. Patients are required to fill out paperwork including personal information and contact information, as well as a small questionaire to ensure your custom denture process goes as easily, and as comfortable as possible.
Why can you sell dentures for a lower cost than many of your competitors?
Dentures By Design is a facility run by Denturists. Denturists specialize in dentures and are able to work on patients without a supervising dentist present. Our facility has it's own in house laboratory, which allows our denturists to create custom dentures on-site, without having to send to independent labs, cutting out the middle man, and cutting costs.
Do you extract teeth, fill cavities, or provide cleanings?
We do not. Denturists are not licensed for general dentistry procedures. We specialize in removable mouth prosthetics. We do, however refer to dentists and oral surgeons for patients who require extractions prior to receiving dentures.
Do you take Care Credit?
At this time, we are not taking care credit or offering payment plans. We accept all major credit cards, and cash payments.
What foods should I avoid if I wear dentures?
Dentures, for the most part, should be treated like your natural teeth. Drinking coffee and smoking will probably stain them over time. Hard or tough foods like steak, or hard candy should be carefully chewed with the rear teeth. Keep in mind that the suction of dentures largely depends on moisture in your mouth, so stay hydrated and avoid foods and drinks that naturally dehydrate the human body.
What is a Denturist?
A denturist is a licensed professional who specializes in removable denture prosthetics. A denturist is qualified to create and adjust dentures as well as work directly with patients without the consent or supervision of a dentist.
Why go to a Denturist instead of a Dentist to get Dentures?
Denturists specialize in the creation and care of dentures. In the state of Idaho, denturists are required to intern under another professional for 2-3 years and are brought up through extensive, hands-on training. With the ability to both create dentures and see patients, getting your dentures through a denturist tends to be a more affordable route.
